Why Embodiment Is Important
Embodiment is the holy grail of the divine feminine path.
Do you ever wonder why you keep hearing women (such as myself) talk about it so much?
Embodiment is everything.
Without my embodiment practices I would not be who, where, or what I am today. I believe quite literally without my embodiment practices life would not feel worth living. At the very least it would be a whole lot more challenging to navigate.
We live in a world that has become disconnected to the present moment, to the aliveness of our own bodies and breath, to the beating heart of our neighbor, to the pulse of the trees, and the sacredness of life itself.
We are approaching a time when man will merge with machine, and it's palpable already. We are a society of people addicted to our phones, and tablets. Spend your days staring at a screen and the world becomes abstract and empty.
As a result we identify more and more with the mind, with the racing thoughts in our head, with the world on the screen, and the desires of the ego.
New paradigm leadership MUST be embodied leadership because frankly I'm a little scared of the world we're creating with out it.
Our embodiment brings us home to the internal guidance system within our heart, our guts, and our womb.
The intelligence which is alive within these seats of consciousness within our body is instinctual, compassionate, in tune with the cosmos, and with the beating heart of Gaia. This intelligence is attuned to the larger needs of the tribe beyond the individual, and to all the living beings on the planet.
When you are anchored into your feeling body as a leader it creates a sense of confidence and self trust because you are rooted and grounded. When you are not dropping into the body, anxiety, and self doubt easily arise because your breath is contracted and your energy is trapped in your head with thoughts that circle. Your embodiment as a leader is also evident in the way you come across in public speaking through your charisma and impact.
There is so much more I could say on this subject, but to keep it brief I'll just say..
After hours on the screen it is vital for us
To log off,
To lay on our mat,
To sway deeply into our hips,
To lay hands on our body and bless her.
To get on to our hands and knees and undulate,
And growl,
To remember that we are animal and instinct.
That we are pulsing connective tissue and beating blood.
That we are holy motion and sacred stillness
Do not discount the value of this time.
It is your everything
It is always the way home
It is the elixir the world is dying to drink through your presence.
This is why I have included embodiment as a major component of the Embrace Mistress-mind. It is a pillar of new paradigm leadership.
I love you.
Get into your body.
